I choose my photo because I thought it made me look friendly, loving and caring. It's all True :-) so I thought I should be portrayed that way.
After many years of the typical real estate photo holding a sign, handing a contract to sellers or just sitting in a chair with my suit on, I wanted something else.
The one I'm using is the best of 50 that were taken that day. The bad ones are really bad. I've never been comfortable in front of a camera.
I tried picking a photo that was one that I could show (if I were a house) on the MLS. One that wouldn't make the viewer look twice to figure out what was there. Made surethere was nothing in the back ground etc to distract from my gorgeous self.
I/we are crytical of the MLS photos. What are we/I saying with ours.
What I'm mostly trying to get at 'besides age' is that many professional photos look like they are just taken with no consideration of the product. We stage a room and then shoot it. We make sure the light is right and we focus on 'the room'. So many of these photo that we use for professional reasons look like we handed someone a camera and didn't think about the quality or surrounding.
Comments appreciated.
